Transportation/Van Driver $17.00 Per Hour

About the role

Assists residents with loading and unloading from facility‑approved vehicles. Ensures the safe transportation of residents to scheduled medical appointments or other approved activities, resident outings, etc. Maintains the interior and exterior of facility vehicles to promote safe and comfortable transport for the residents and project a positive image in the community.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with loading and unloading from facility‑approved vehicles.
• Ensure safe transportation of residents to scheduled medical appointments, approved activities, and resident outings.
• Maintain the interior and exterior of facility vehicles to promote safe, comfortable transport and project a positive community image.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance logs and deliver vehicles for regularly scheduled maintenance (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations).
• Be flexible with work time to accommodate resident appointments or activities that run late.
• Have training and demonstrate safe clinical‑based transfer techniques:
  • Ingress and egress of mobile patients using a van.
  • Transfer of patients into and out of wheelchairs.
  • Properly securing wheelchair‑bound residents into van bays.
• Lift, transfer, and mobilize patient weights of up to 70 pounds by self in confined areas inside the van.
• Make complex decisions involving a highly dependent patient base.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
