Job Summary
The NAPA Auto Parts Private Fleet is seeking a motivated individual to join their fast-paced, rewarding transportation management team. Ideal candidates thrive in dynamic environments, possess strong leadership skills, and excel in customer service.
Responsibilities
- Complete oversight of Terminal Operations and P&L
- Maintain and improve budget and operational metrics
- Oversee driver and dispatch personnel
- Train and develop staff
- Hire, train, and retain drivers
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Grow the operation while maintaining high service levels
- Submit driver and office personnel payroll
- Manage safety, loss prevention, and audits
- Ensure facility maintenance and upkeep
- Communicate effectively across the business
- Develop leaders and improve safety, service, productivity, and engagement
- Drive standardized processes and performance with operational leaders
- Collaborate with senior leadership to achieve business goals
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations
- Managerial experience in the transportation industry, including LTL truckload experience
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to analyze operational metrics and improve efficiency
- Strong motivation and leadership abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, McLeod, and Workday
- Business acumen, relationship management, data judgment, and agility
- Leadership qualities embodying serve, perform, influence, respect, innovate, and team
- Physical demands: lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing, operating equipment, manual dexterity, repetitive motion, physical endurance, and safety awareness
