About the role
Supervise the transportation operations within a facility or across facilities, as determined.
Responsibilities
- Supervise company drivers and activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation vehicles.
- Direct investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper issues.
- Collaborate with managers/staff members and customers to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
- Maintain compliance with government regulations, administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, and Lean program.
- Maintain CTPAT and ISO certifications.
- Work directly on or around motor vehicle equipment.
- Maintain a Safety Mindset.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; bachelor’s degree or some college in pursuit of same is preferred.
- 1-2 years previous experience in a management or supervisory role.
- 3-5 years prior experience in the transportation industry.
- Solid knowledge of government regulations within the trucking industry.
- Strong time management and coordination skills, verbal and written communication skills, and critical thinking/problem resolution ability.
- Safety Mindset.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in the transportation industry.
- Experience in managing and supervising transportation operations.
- Knowledge of government regulations and safety standards.
Skills
- Strong leadership and supervision skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of government regulations and safety standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
