Position responsibilities
The Transportation Supervisor ensures annual performance goals are met, including on-time dispatches, off-load rate, labor cost and product loss and damage.
You will ensure a safe working environment by executing company processes successfully.
- Assists in developing the daily operating plan to include equipment maintenance and driver work schedules to meet or exceed our customers’ delivery needs as well as promptly solving problems to the maximum satisfaction of our customers.
- Provides development to supervisory and driver staff, and potentially leads various committees, such as quality and safety.
- Potentially partners with human resources to ensure appropriate staffing levels throughout the year in order to foster a work environment with maximized employee involvement.
Required Education and Experience
- Average of 3 to 4 years of related experience and 0 to 1 years of supervisory experience with an Associate's degree, or
- Average of 5 years of specific experience and 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience with a High School Diploma.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree.
