Transportation Specialist (Part-Time)
About the role
Isaiah House is a faith-based and Christ-centered nonprofit organization. Employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and standards of conduct. The Driver provides safe, timely, and professional transportation for Isaiah House clients to appointments and other approved locations. This position supports client care by ensuring dependable transportation while maintaining a welcoming and respectful environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport clients to approved locations while following traffic laws
- Maintain professional and respectful interactions with clients
- Report delays, accidents, and vehicle concerns promptly
- Keep company vehicles clean, fueled, and operational
- Complete errands and adjust routes as needed
- Follow Isaiah House policies and perform other assigned duties
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Must be at least 22 years old to meet insurance requirements
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles and follow traffic regulations
- Friendly, dependable, flexible, and professional demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to work independently and manage transportation schedules effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous professional driving or client transportation experience
- Experience driving 15-passenger vehicles
- Familiarity with roads and travel routes throughout Kentucky
Work Environment and Schedule
Schedule: Part-time as needed. Work Environment: On-site and community-based travel. Travel Requirements: Frequent travel throughout Kentucky using company vehicles. Location: Kentucky — Employees may begin and end their shifts at one of our locations in Harrodsburg, Louisville, Chaplin, Willisburg, or Lexington. Travel throughout Kentucky and, when needed, to neighboring states may be required.

- Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently and assist with loading personal belongings as needed
- Ability to maintain alertness, focus, and safe driving practices during extended travel
