Transportation Specialist I , Relay Ops

About the role

A Transportation Specialist at NOC facilitates communication between different stakeholders and resolves issues impacting customer experience and business continuity. They work on outbound operations, ensuring trucks leave fulfillment centers on time to deliver customer orders.

Responsibilities

• Communication with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers)
• Ability to pull data from databases using Excel to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
• Develop and/or understand performance metrics to assist with driving business results
• Quickly understand the business impact of trends and make decisions based on available data
• Sytematically escalate problems or variance in information and data to relevant owners and teams and follow through on resolutions
• Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying activities performed
• Good communication, both verbal and written, to create narratives outlining weekly findings and variances to goals, and present these findings in review forums
• Provide real-time customer experience by working in a fast-paced operating environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics
• Experience with Excel
• Experience with SQL is preferred
