About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to travelers, visitors, and staff. You will communicate professionally, report observations, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, tenants, and airport personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminal areas, public spaces, parking facilities, access points, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations.
- Observe and report unusual activity, unattended property, access concerns, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate airport personnel and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post instructions and communication protocols.
- Assist with access control, traffic and pedestrian flow, and directions for travelers and visitors while helping to deter unauthorized activity at the location.
Requirements
- 18+ years of age.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to use computers – basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Pay
$24.25 / hour
Schedule
- Wednesday: 11:30 PM – 08:00 AM
- Thursday: 11:30 PM – 08:00 AM
- Saturday: 03:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- Sunday: 03:30 PM – 12:00 AM
