Transportation Security Officer: Airport Patrol Public Assistance

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for travelers, visitors, and staff. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of airport terminals, public areas, parking facilities, perimeter locations, and adjacent grounds to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, restricted areas, and pedestrian and vehicle traffic in accordance with airport procedures; report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and documentation procedures.
- Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations to supervisors and/or designated airport representatives.
Requirements
- 18+ years of age.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to use computers – basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs. is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. $24.25 / hour

- Tuesday: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- Thursday: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- Friday: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- Sunday: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
