Transportation Risk Manager, Transportation Risk and Compliance (TRC)

About the role

Amazon is looking for an organized self-starter to join the Transportation Risk and Compliance (TRC) team. As a Transportation Risk Manager, you will optimize and improve audit and monitoring activities, automate workflows, and provide precise reports to stakeholders. The role involves reshaping processes, building scalable solutions, and driving a culture of compliance both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and improve audit and monitoring activities by identifying inefficiencies in design, configuration, and execution, then building or coordinating technical solutions.
• Automate and streamline internal team workflows to reduce manual effort and increase consistency in planning, tracking, and delivery.
• Provide precise reports and clear recommendations to internal stakeholders and Amazon leadership.
• Meet individual and team goals with high standards and diligence.
• Lead and/or participate in special projects and assignments as necessary.

About the team

TRC’s mission is to empower Amazon’s transportation business and its partners to do the right thing for the community. The team provides transportation leaders with data-driven risk management solutions through compliance monitoring and risk management activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent fields.
• Experience handling confidential information.
• Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams to execute tactical initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SQL and Excel.
• Experience in program requirements definition, data analysis, and metrics-driven improvements.

Pay

Base salary ranges:

• New York, NY: $81,600 – $142,800 USD annually
• Arlington, VA: $74,200 – $129,800 USD annually

Additional compensation may include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
