Role Overview

This is an opportunity for a Civil Engineering Project Manager to take ownership of transportation-focused projects from planning through construction. The role is highly visible and client-facing, with responsibility for leading design efforts, managing budgets, and guiding project teams. You’ll work closely with leadership while also serving as a key point of contact for clients, agencies, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead roadway and transportation design projects for municipal and public sector clients
• Partner with senior leadership on client meetings, proposals, and project strategy
• Manage budgets, schedules, and overall project performance from concept through delivery
• Oversee internal design teams and collaborate with project engineers to develop plans and specifications
• Coverage with survey, environmental, and other internal groups, as well as external subconsultants
• Support public involvement efforts, including attending meetings or hearings when needed
• Handle invoicing, monitor financials, and keep projects on track
• Aid in the bidding phase and work closely with contractors and field teams during construction
• Provide consistent updates to both leadership and clients on progress and key milestones

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
• Strong background in project management, including leading teams and managing deliverables
• Experience in roadway design; familiarity with INDOT standards is highly preferred
• Exposure to traffic engineering, signal design, or traffic impact studies is a plus
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Indiana, or ability to obtain
• Comfortable working with clients and coordinating across multiple stakeholders
• Strong communication skills and ability to keep projects moving forward
