Transportation Planning Senior Analyst

About the role

The Transportation/Supply Chain Operations Senior Analyst executes transportation planning activities including load consolidation, mode shift, and optimization of transportation routes. This role is based in Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities

• Manages tendering and execution of transportation loads
• Maintains status updates from carriers (in-transit, appointment, delivered)
• Proactively communicates and resolves transportation exceptions
• Provides customer service to clients and vendors during transportation planning and execution
• Reports and analyzes key performance indicators related to financial, satisfaction, and operational metrics
• Leverages AI-enabled tools and automation concepts to identify process efficiencies, improve transportation visibility, and support faster decision-making

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of transportation planning experience
• Preferred qualifications include Transport Management experience, TMS knowledge, routing, scheduling, and consolidation of loads, and understanding of transportation rules, regulations, standard processes, and business policies
• Working knowledge of AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and agentic AI concepts
• Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, or Operations Management
• Strong relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member
• Adaptable problem solver who can simplify complex tasks and drive efficiencies
• Curiosity and a continuous-learning mindset toward emerging AI capabilities and their practical use in improving transportation workflows
• Professionalism, confidence, and demonstrated leadership in a professional setting
