About the role

Branch ISD Special Education is seeking a dependable and caring Transportation Parapro to support students with special education needs during transportation to and from school. The role ensures students travel safely and comfortably while providing appropriate supervision and support throughout the transportation process.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students with special education needs during bus rides to and from school.
• Ensure safe, comfortable, and orderly travel for all students.
• Assist drivers as needed and communicate any concerns to school staff.
• Provide appropriate behavioral and emotional support during transportation.
• Collaborate with families, drivers, and school personnel to address student needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Ability to work patiently, responsibly, and safety‑minded with students.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with students, families, drivers, and school staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with elementary or high‑school‑aged students (preferred).
• Experience with students who have academic or cognitive deficiencies and/or emotional or behavioral disturbances (preferred).
