The Department of Environmental Services (DES) is seeking a Transportation Operations Management Analyst to join their Operations team within the Transportation Engineering and Operations (TE&O) Bureau. TE&O manages over 900 miles of roadway and works to optimize the use of Arlington County’s streets and infrastructure to move people and goods safely and efficiently across all forms of transportation.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate operational safety impacts of temporary and permanent uses of the public right-of-way
- Administer shared curb space regulations
- Address customer requests
- Coincordinate signage to enhance safety and accessibility for all roadway users
Requirements
- Experience in transportation operations management
- Knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in transportation operations management
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with traffic signal systems and traffic control devices
- Ability to use GIS software for spatial analysis

Pay
- $85,000 - $95,000 annually

- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
