At Ferraro Foods, our Transportation team keeps our operations moving and ensures customers receive their deliveries safely and on time. The Transportation Manager plays a key role in overseeing daily transportation operations, including dispatch, routing, driver performance, and the training and development of new driver hires. We’re looking for a hands-on Transportation Manager with strong foodservice delivery experience who can lead drivers, solve problems quickly, and keep daily operations running safely and efficiently. What You’ll Be Working On Oversee daily transportation operations, including routing, dispatching, and driver coordinationManage the morning dispatch process for Class A and Class B DriversTroubleshoot routing, delivery, and staffing issues and follow up with drivers throughout the dayHandle driver and Driver Helper callouts and coordinate alternate solutions to keep deliveries movingCommunicate with customers, Customer Service, Sales, drivers, and other internal teams regarding delivery times and service issuesServe as a key point of communication between Transportation and SalesAnalyze routes on an ongoing basis and identify opportunities to improve efficiencyReview driver feedback and make appropriate adjustments to route order and sequencingSupervise and audit RoadNet maintenance and routing activityMonitor truck utilization during the routing process, including weight and cubeCoach and counsel drivers and helpers to improve performance and ensure adherence to company policiesAddress attendance, performance, conduct, and other policy concerns through appropriate corrective actionSupport the training and development of newly hired driversEnsure drivers comply with DOT regulations, state and federal laws, OSHA requirements, and company policiesReport driver accidents, incidents, and injuries to Safety and Human ResourcesIdentify and recommend improvements to departmental policies and practices The Ingredients for Success Active Class A or Class B CDL required5+ years of foodservice delivery experienceTransportation supervisory or management experience preferredWorking knowledge of RoadNet preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and follow-up skillsStrong interpersonal and problem-solving abilitiesDetail-oriented with the ability to manage a busy workloadAbility to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesHigh school diploma or equivalent work-related experience preferred Why You’ll Love Working Here Lead a critical part of our day-to-day foodservice distribution operationWork in a hands-on role where your decisions directly impact drivers, deliveries, and customersHelp develop drivers and improve transportation performance and efficiencyJoin an established foodservice organization with nearly 50 years in the industryBe part of a team that values accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence The Details Schedule: Monday – Friday | 4:00 AM start, with flexibility for afternoons and weekends based on operational needs.Compensation: $80,000 – $90,000 annually, commensurate with experienceBenefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid holidays, and additional voluntary benefit offerings Apply today and help lead the team that keeps Ferraro Foods moving!
