About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transportation Manager to join our growing team in Atlanta, Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily transportation operations, including route planning and performance monitoring
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with transportation carriers and third-party logistics providers
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards
- Site budget management and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of drivers and logistics personnel
- Implement strategies to improve service levels, reduce delays, and increase overall efficiency
- Analyze transportation data and KPIs to support continuous improvement efforts
- Collaborate cross-functionally with warehouse, customer service, and operations teams
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in transportation or carrier management
- Strong knowledge of transportation logistics, DOT compliance, and fleet management
- Active CDL (Class A) preferred
- Proven leadership and team development skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
