Transportation Liaison- Leave Replacement

About the role

The transportation liaison will operate and maintain vehicle(s) with a focus on safety, customer courtesy, and patient confidentiality. You will respond to emergencies during transport promptly and arrange for appropriate dispatch of emergency responders. The role involves working closely with Health Center Leadership to facilitate the scheduling of transportation services at Damian Family Care Center’s community organizations, with a focus on identifying those who have restricted or depleted access to primary health care within the communities served.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, expedite, and transport residential clients between collaborative partners and Damian Family Care Centers, Inc.
• Support the mission and philosophy of Damian Family Care Centers, Inc.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 21 years of age or older, in good health, and have at least three (3) years of driving experience.
• Valid New York State Driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to read and interpret road signs in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both oral and written.
• Willing to submit to alcohol/drug screening if required by employer.
• Willing to work flexible hours when required.

Qualifications

• Defensive Driving Certificate and First Aid training preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
