Responsibilities
- Aiding the Director of Nursing with trip planning and details
- Assisting residents with transfers and ambulation as necessary
- Loading and unloading residents in and out of vehicles
- Driving to and from specific destinations
- Maintaining current Medical Card
- Maintaining a flexible schedule to meet resident needs including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Ensuring the vehicle is fueled safely for trips
- Communicating vehicle issues to the Director of Operations promptly
- Maintaining cleanliness inside and outside the bus
- Attending life enrichment meetings as assigned
- Evaluating trips and communicating resident needs and issues
- Performing alternative tasks when not busy with bus duties
- Assisting with other Life Enrichment Department functions as needed
- Safeguarding a safe work environment
- Participating in annual in-service training on body mechanics, right-to-know information, and fire and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Valid New Hampshire Driver's License
- ‘Medical Examiner’s Certificate’ renewed every 2 years
- Prior experience working in a residential community, especially with seniors, is preferred
- Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills
- Strong communication and positive attitude
- Excellent networking skills
- High school education or higher
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
