Transportation Equipment Asset Technician

About the role

Sphere Renewables is a key component supplier for Renewable Energy with offices and employees globally, focused on Wind Energy and other renewable energy sources. We are seeking someone to assist in all matters concerning repair, transportation, and shipment of products and items to intended destinations.

Responsibilities

• Receive transport equipment assets (such as drive trains) from the field.
• Verify transport equipment assets and parts inventory.
• Visually inspect key points on each piece of equipment as per guidelines, PWI, and drawings.
• Perform basic repair and kitting functions on all transport equipment assets requiring work to be put back in service.
• Collaborate with customers and subcontractors on site to set timing and delivery expectations for the assets to be delivered for reuse.
• Prepare documents to summarize activities performed daily and submit to supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous logistics experience (warehousing or similar).
• Knowledge regarding operation of forklift, power tools, welding machine (wire), air compressors, and pressure washers.
• Ability to run multiple tasks in a single day.
• Willingness to work outside in the elements daily.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and on a team.
• Physical ability to lift, pull, push, carry up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must be able to read, write, & speak the English language.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
