The Transportation Engineering Technician I position involves assisting transportation engineers in the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of transportation facilities and systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering reports and documents
• Conduct field inspections and gather data on transportation projects
• Support the implementation of safety measures and traffic control procedures
• Participate in the evaluation of transportation projects for compliance with state and federal regulations
• Provide technical support to transportation engineers during project phases

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a relevant associate's degree preferred
• Experience in transportation engineering or related field
• Knowledge of transportation engineering principles and practices
• Ability to operate various engineering equipment and software
