We've served clients in all 50 states and several countries. LJB's Transportation Practice is focused on improving infrastructure to enhance communities and quality of life. We partner with DOTs, municipalities, public and private agencies to deliver safe, efficient, and future-ready transportation solutions. From roadway and bridge design to multimodal corridors, our team combines technical expertise with a proactive approach to keep people and projects moving forward. LJB offers challenging and rewarding assignments for co-op students and summer interns. Students work with experienced engineers and are exposed to a variety of civil engineering challenges. They also get the opportunity to work on real world projects in a professional environment. We are currently filling internships and co-ops for our Cleveland, Ohio office. Pay: $18+ an hour.
Essential Functions
- Work on job assignments related to area of engineering discipline focus
- Perform routine tasks under close supervision using well established standards, procedures and drawings
- Students will be exposed to design processes as well as various office and field procedures
Education
- Civil engineering major at an accredited university is preferred. Civil Engineering Technology or other Engineering Majors desiring a civil engineering career path will be considered.
- Students entering their Junior or Senior years are preferred
Qualifications
- Some travel may be required
- U.S. citizenship required
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel to various project sites
- Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas
