Transportation Engineering Intern
Dewberry is currently seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Transportation group in Raleigh, NC. This position offers exposure to multiple engineering disciplines, including roadway design, structural design, drainage design, traffic engineering, and transportation planning. A tailored training program will provide hands-on experience and professional growth in a collaborative environment, applying the latest technology to solve complex client challenges. A housing stipend may be provided to eligible candidates.

Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate engineering solutions
- Prepare design calculations, quantities, cost estimates, and drawings
- Assist with various studies and document results
- Adhere to assigned project schedules and budgets
- Write internal communications
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering (with emphasis in transportation)
- Solid oral and written communication skills
- Experience using CADD (Microstation or AutoCAD) preferred
- Desire to work in a team environment

Summer Intern Program
During the summer intern program, interns gain hands-on project experience, develop technical skills, and apply classroom knowledge to real-world projects. Interns are assigned meaningful work similar to that of full-time employees and participate in a variety of workshops and events, including:
