Transportation Engineering Co-op/Intern (Fall/Winter 2026)

Responsibilities

• Aid with transportation impact studies
• Collect and analyze traffic data from publicly available sources and through field visits
• Analyze traffic data using tools like Microsoft Excel, Python, MySQL, etc.
• Conduct traffic analyses using HCS, Synchro, and VISSIM
• Support travel demand model calibration, validation, and scenario analysis in Cube and TransCAD
• Provide support to our roadway design and traffic engineering teams
• Perform additional duties of a similar nature and level as assigned

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Transportation Planning, City and Regional Planning, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Economics or a related field
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong attention to detail
• Effective team player in fast-paced environments
• Strong oral, written, interpersonal, and visual communication skills
• Familiarity with Python, C++, or Java; additional programming experience is preferred
• Knowledge of transportation software, including HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, Cube, and TransCAD, is preferred
• Interest and experience in travel demand modeling is a plus

$23.47 - $34.50 hourly
