About the role
Our Dynamic New York City Civil team is looking for a Co-op student for the 2027 Spring Semester. Join our team and help us keep communities connected by providing planning, engineering, and infrastructure management services that fit the needs of our clients and improve the overall transportation experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist engineers in the preparation of contract documents and reports for a variety of civil engineering projects, including roadways, parks, recreational spaces, waterfronts, ADA accessibility, and transit facilities.
- Perform computer-aided design and drafting.
- Check drawings and calculations.
- Conduct quantity take-offs.
- Perform simple design calculations.
- Participate in field inspections.
Requirements
- Prior exposure to CAD Design programs (AutoCAD/Microstation).
- Current good academic standing in an accredited engineering school.
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Civil Engineering Program.
- Past experience with Civil 3D and/or Bentley Inroads/OpenRoads Designer is preferred.
- 40-hour per week commitment.
Work Environment
- Typical office environment involving working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
- Field work may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather.
- Spring Co-op Interns are expected to work 40 hours per week minimum in the office.
Pay
$23.47 - $34.50 hourly.
