Transportation Engineer Supervisor

Summary Of Responsibilities

Oversees the work of transportation maintenance crews and construction inspector crews. Plans, schedules, and supervises the work and activities of engineering crews on major projects under development, review, construction, or maintenance. Organizing and conducting meetings in the planning, construction and maintenance of projects. Develops and maintains project or program documentation. Meets with local property owners and officials to discuss highway road conditions and needs.

Requirements

• Must be licensed professional engineer by the Kentucky State Board of Licensure.
• Must have two years of engineering experience in addition to that required for licensure as a professional engineer.
• Must have a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification.
• Must be licensed as a professional engineer by the Kentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors OR must be licensed in another state with the ability to obtain a Professional Engineering license from the Kentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors within the employee's initial six month probationary period.
• Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
