Transportation Engineer/Project Manager
About the role
We are seeking a Transportation Engineer/Project Manager to join our dynamic team in our Corporate Headquarters office in downtown Milwaukee. This role involves project oversight, technical resource support, business development, and professional society involvement.
Responsibilities
- Project oversight including setting priorities and developing objectives, project financial management as well as hands-on involvement in the design process.
- The ability to serve as a technical resource for a multi-disciplined team.
- Project engineering and management.
- Business development activities including proposal preparation, project interviews/presentations, and client management.
- Professional society involvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of practical design experience in transportation engineering, highway design, and local street design. Additional experience is encouraged.
- Knowledge of WisDOT design and standards is highly preferred.
- PE license in WI.
- Experience in business development and project development processes, including marketing activities, client development, project tracking and proposal development.
- Project Management experience with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is a plus.
- Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members is necessary.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D software is a significant advantage.
