About the role
EMCS, Inc. provides a wide range of civil engineering services including transportation engineering, structural engineering, traffic engineering, construction engineering, site development, environmental studies, and surveying. EMCS serves public and private clients in a variety of small and large-scale projects. The company was founded in 1983 and has offices in Milwaukee, Wausau, and Madison, Wisconsin; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Bergland, Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Transform challenges into solutions through various design projects including freeways, urban and rural roadways, complete streets/bicycle/pedestrian improvements, multi-use paths, and developments.
- Collaborate with a highly motivated, high-quality team to achieve project goals.
- Work in a collaborative team environment to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure project success.
Requirements
- AS or BS in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience in the civil engineering field
- Registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin a plus
- Previous experience on transportation projects (WisDOT experience a plus)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- Experience with project management software
- Knowledge of traffic engineering principles
- Understanding of environmental regulations and compliance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
