Responsibilities
- The preparation of specifications, special provisions and non-standard special provisions
- The quality assurance (QA) review of plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E)
- Participating in "pre-P&E to DOE" (M300) activities
- The preparation and processing of a complete PS&E package, completing various forms and entering database information for submittal to the Division of Engineering Service Office Engineer (DES-OE)
- Leading to a biddable and buildable project
- Training new staff in the Office Engineer process and performing support duties involved with the preparation of various engineering reports, cost estimates and value analysis reviews
- Performing utility research, field investigation, and preparation of utility plans using Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software
Requirements
Possession of a valid California Drivers License is required when operating a state owned vehicle as travel may be required. Registration as a California Professional Civil Engineer is required when range D.

$6,488.00 - $7,735.00 A $7,428.00 - $9,296.00 B $8,896.00 - $11,131.00 C $9,712.00 - $12,152.00 D
Schedule
New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
