About the role
TRC Worldwide Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation Division in Brentwood, TN.
Responsibilities
- Lead the highway/roadway design team for moderate to large projects and work independently on smaller projects
- Perform analysis and design calculations for highway/roadway projects
- Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules
- Act as technical liaison with clients on project efforts and coordinate technical efforts within discipline areas
- Manage day-to-day communication with the client, support and advise engineers and technical staff, write reports and technical memos, and coordinate with sub-consultants
- Organize scheduling of specific tasks and assignments, keep the project on schedule and within budget
- Assist with proposal preparation and business development/project pursuits
- Other duties as needed
Requirements
- BS in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited university
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Tennessee (TN)
- TDOT experience
- Minimum five (5) years highway/roadway design experience
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to provide accurate and high-quality design
- Ability to lead and work collaboratively within a design team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in key design platforms such as OpenRoads 3D, MicroStation, Bentley, Geopak, etc., and conventional software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Reporting
This position will work within our Civil/Transportation group under the direction of the Transportation Manager.
