Transportation Engineer

About the role

The Transportation Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing transportation systems that enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze transportation models to optimize routes and reduce congestion.
• Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct site visits and gather data to inform project design and implementation.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project progress and findings to clients and team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in transportation engineering.
• Knowledge of traffic flow analysis, GIS, and transportation planning software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Experience with public transportation systems and infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with traffic simulation software such as CORSIM or VISSIM.
• Understanding of environmental impact assessment and sustainable transportation practices.
