Qualifications
- 4 or more years of experience in civil engineering
- 4 or more years of experience with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation
- BS in Civil Engineering
- PE Registration and participation in a professional organization (preferred)
- Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available at this time)
Responsibilities
- Complete various civil engineering and/or surveying tasks assigned by a Project Manager under direct supervision
- Work independently with minimal oversight
- Assist with training and oversight of staff
- Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to prepare surveys, site plans, grading plans, utility plans, construction layout, and staking
- Design site civil, municipal, and transportation projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software
- Prepare reports and permits for site civil, transportation, and municipal projects
- Perform construction observation or field services as requested
- Communicate with project teams across all offices
- Direct staff on project tasks
- Support proposal requests, contract preparation, and project management responsibilities
- Assist in tracking project budgets (no billing obligations)
- Handle limited marketing and client management responsibilities
- Maintain regular communication with clients, peers, and agencies on projects
- Provide overtime as needed to meet project deadlines
- Maintain insurability under the Lynch & Associates Automotive policy to operate a company or personal vehicle for business
- Assist with any other assigned tasks to support the Lynch & Associates team
