Qualifications

  • 4 or more years of experience in civil engineering
  • 4 or more years of experience with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation
  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • PE Registration and participation in a professional organization (preferred)
  • Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available at this time)

Responsibilities

  • Complete various civil engineering and/or surveying tasks assigned by a Project Manager under direct supervision
  • Work independently with minimal oversight
  • Assist with training and oversight of staff
  • Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to prepare surveys, site plans, grading plans, utility plans, construction layout, and staking
  • Design site civil, municipal, and transportation projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software
  • Prepare reports and permits for site civil, transportation, and municipal projects
  • Perform construction observation or field services as requested
  • Communicate with project teams across all offices
  • Direct staff on project tasks
  • Support proposal requests, contract preparation, and project management responsibilities
  • Assist in tracking project budgets (no billing obligations)
  • Handle limited marketing and client management responsibilities
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, peers, and agencies on projects
  • Provide overtime as needed to meet project deadlines
  • Maintain insurability under the Lynch & Associates Automotive policy to operate a company or personal vehicle for business
  • Assist with any other assigned tasks to support the Lynch & Associates team
