Responsibilities
- Prepare roadway, highway, and transportation design plans for a variety of public infrastructure projects.
- Develop design calculations, engineering reports, technical specifications, and construction documents.
- Perform roadway geometric design, drainage coordination, utility coordination, and traffic-related analyses.
- Utilize engineering software including MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and related transportation design tools.
- Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders throughout project development.
- Assist with project planning, scope development, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Support preparation of permit applications and environmental documentation as required.
- Participate in field reviews, site investigations, and construction support activities.
- Ensure designs comply with ODOT standards, AASHTO guidelines, and applicable local regulations.
- Contribute to proposal development and business development efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
- 4+ years of transportation engineering experience preferred.
- Experience with roadway design, intersection improvements, corridor studies, and transportation infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with ODOT standards, specifications, and project development processes.
- Strong technical writing, communication, and project coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a consulting environment.

- ODOT transportation projects.
- Municipal roadway and corridor improvement projects.
- Roundabouts, roadway reconstruction, and multimodal transportation facilities.
- Traffic control planning and maintenance of traffic design.
- Construction administration and construction phase services.
