Transportation Engineer

About the role
As a Transportation Staff Engineer at Kapur & Associates, you will be an integral part of the team, contributing to the planning, design, and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects that positively impact communities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers in the planning and design of transportation projects.
- Conduct site visits and field investigations to gather relevant data for project analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, reports, and specifications.
- Utilize engineering software and tools to perform calculations and simulations.
- Work closely with multi‑disciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met within established timelines.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in transportation engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Strong academic background with a focus on transportation engineering coursework.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and/or other relevant tools.
- Knowledge of WisDOT projects is a plus.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
