Transportation Engineer

About the role

AMT is seeking a Transportation Engineer, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, to join the transportation team in one of our Mid-Atlantic Office Locations.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of projects which may involve collection of data, existing condition and alternative analysis evaluation for engineering reports
• Develop horizontal and vertical alignments
• Perform cross section and superelevation design
• Provide roadside barrier design
• Provide ADA curb ramp design
• Provide roadway modeling
• Provide design support for erosion and sediment control plans
• Provide design support for stormwater management plans
• Provide design support for right-of-way plans
• Provide design support for utility relocation plans
• Provide design support for permit application drawings
• Provide design support for traffic related plans

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in roadway, highway, and traffic control plan preparation
• Engineering-in-Training (EIT/FE) preferred
• Experience with Microstation Open Roads Designer or AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members
