Transportation Driver

Position Summary

Captures the safety of transporting IOP patients to and from their residences/appointments, assisting in patient care activities, and communicating any problematic or clinical issues.

Education

• PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current, valid state driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association. (Will provide service or renewal if needed)
• Transporting patients or passengers in a 10–12 passenger van or similar vehicle. (Preferred)
• 1–2 years of driving or transportation experience in a healthcare, behavioral health, or similar setting. (Preferred)

• Ability to maintain professionalism and demonstrate patience and compassion with patients.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Basic problem-solving and decision-making skills in dynamic situations.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling systems.
• Understanding of basic medical and psychiatric conditions preferred.
