Transportation Customer Service
PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION
Maintains daily log of drivers and Dispatch System, and has continued contact with drivers including recording arrival/departure times at customers, lunch breaks, and route completions.
Communicates with Inside Sales throughout the day for updates on late routes, truck delays and breakdowns, etc.
Communicate estimated delivery dates/times to customers
Manage various customer delivery expectations to ensure each customers' needs are met
Receives incoming updates from drivers.
Schedule drivers to balance payroll and DOT available hours; Arrange alternate when drivers are absent
Assigns haul backs when necessary.
Answers incoming phone calls.
Routes and analyzes information for the department.
Organizes necessary paperwork for drivers.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities

Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D required
- Must be flexible and willing to work overtime when needed
- 2-4 years previous related experience
- Ability to deal with problems involving multiple variables in changing pressure-filled situations
- Excellent mathematical and reading skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
- Ability to work well with both internal and external customers
- Proficient in WMS and Office
- Previously demonstrated proficiency with routing/Transportation and Logistics software
- Strong organizational skills

- Regularly sits, uses hands and fingers, handles or feels, reaches with hands and arms, talks and hears
- Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds
