Transportation Coordinator ( Entry Level)

Responsibilities

• Provide Exceptional Customer Service
• Serve as a primary contact for drivers and customers, responding to questions, concerns, and service requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Build positive relationships with customers and carrier partners while delivering a high level of service.
• Support Transportation Operations
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and carrier partners while delivering a high level of service.
• Monitor shipment activity and provide updates to customers, drivers, and internal stakeholders.
• Aid in scheduling, appointment coordination, and daily transportation activities to support on-time pickup and delivery performance.
• Resolve Issues
• Proactively investigate and resolve shipment, delivery, and driver-related issues with urgency and professionalism.
• Work collaboratively with operations teams to identify solutions and minimize service disruptions.
• Communicate Effectively
• Maintain regular communication with drivers, customers, and internal business partners regarding shipment status and operational changes.
• Escalate critical issues when necessary and follow through to completion.
• Maintain Accurate Records
• Enter and update shipment information, customer interactions, and operational details within company systems.
• Ensure data accuracy and timely documentation of transportation activities.
• Support Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to a team-focused environment that values collaboration, accountability, and service excellence.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in customer service, transportation, logistics, dispatch, operations support, call center, or related roles.
• Passion for helping customers and resolving issues with a positive, solutions-oriented approach.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and business systems.
• Ability to build relationships and work effectively with drivers, customers, and cross-functional teams.
• High level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting transportation, logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) or dispatching software.
• Experience working directly with drivers, carriers, or customers in an operations environment.

Work Environment

This position is located in a climate-controlled office environment with standard lighting and moderate noise levels typical of professional workspace settings. The role primarily involves sitting at a desk for extended periods while working with computers, phones, and other office equipment. The collaborative environment includes interaction with team members and may require attendance at meetings, conference calls, and cross-departmental communications during regular business hours.
