About the role
The Transportation Coordinator (Driver) plays a critical role in delivering a structured, reliable, and resident-focused transportation program within the community. This role extends beyond driving to include transportation coordination, scheduling, resident communication, and operational support.
Responsibilities
- Provides transportation services during scheduled work hours, including, but not limited to, coverage of designated medical transportation days (Tuesday and Thursday).
- Safely operate community vehicles to provide medical, recreational, and personal transportation to residents.
- Enter and manage transportation requests in our digital transportation management system, ensuring schedules are accurate and aligned with community transportation guidelines and availability.
- Maintain vehicle readiness by completing routine inspections and ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
- Support the Entertainment & Programming team with scheduled outings and events, including planning, logistics, resident participation, and adherence to safety protocols and return schedules.
- During non-driving hours, provide community support as needed, including programming, interdepartmental support, and other operational tasks, maintaining consistent productivity throughout scheduled work hours.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be 21 years of age and have a minimum of 3 years of licensed driving experience.
- Must have a valid state Driver’s License (Class E in Missouri) and Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to safely operate passenger vehicles, buses, and mobility lift systems while assisting residents with mobility needs.
- Previous experience with older adults, transportation, or coordination preferred.
Qualifications
