Essential Functions
- Affords assistance with management of various public sector engineering and transportation projects, including oversight and project review, visiting field offices, and filling-in to support project staff as needed;
- Exerts leadership to field staff and engineering teams;
- Executes contract negotiations with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to secure rates and contract amendments for the benefit of the Company;
- Establishes and monitors schedules and budgets as they pertain to assigned projects, and affords assistance with billing reviews and invoicing as needed;
- Assists with business development efforts, including proposal development, marketing activities, and traveling to trade shows/industry events as needed to assist in the development process;
- Performs project site visits as needed;
- All related duties as required to ensure the successful completion of assigned projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, with a valid Professional Engineering license and ability to obtain CT PE License within a reasonable time period;
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering, construction management, and transportation experience;
- Congress DOT experience highly preferred;
- Ability to perform complex quantity and engineering computations, and to review and interpret plans and specifications;
- Ability to prepare correspondence, reports and recommendations concerning construction issues;
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills;
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, to coordinate with clients, supervisors, and managers;
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, PDF software, and the ability to learn applicable time reporting and budgeting programs;
- Valid, acceptable driver’s license and personal vehicle to travel to meetings and sites as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Assumes a stationary position;
- Handles, inspects, and/or feels documents, materials and/or equipment relevant to the job;
- Communicates with colleagues, supervisors, and clients using Company email and telephone systems;
- Moves around on the job-site, including ascending or descending on the landscape or on a ladder, and positioning oneself appropriately to access necessary testing materials and equipment, usually for prolonged periods of time;
- Lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs. for some types of monitoring and inspections;
- Has good visual skills, including focused depth perception, and Regular daily operations of a motor-vehicle, which may require remaining stationary for extended periods of time.

Our advertised pay ranges are representative of our good faith effort to provide a reasonable anticipated salary range. The offered pay may be outside of the provided salary range based upon the selected candidate’s work location, experience, education, certifications, and capabilities compared to the advertised position.
