Transportation Clerk **Seasonal

About the role

This role will be supporting the day-to-day Transportation Operation activities. This position will be responsible for interacting with both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure dispatching of loads to all carriers and brokers
• Oversee the entire transportation process from our shipping docks to the final customer location
• Monitor and report driver issues such as accidents, safety concerns, or weather issues
• Work closely with sales, shipping, claims, and other departments to problem solve and find solutions involving transportation matters
• Work well within our Transportation team and Customer Service
• Ensure trucks are checked-in and have correct pickup numbers
• Participate in Carrier Score carding
• Help the team achieve key performance metrics

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 1-2 years' experience preferred
• Must maintain excellent attendance
• Strong decision-making abilities
• Clear communication skills with the ability to talk to all levels of our organization
• Advanced computer skills required with preference in Oracle Warehouse Management and Oracle Transportation Management systems
• Analytical and strategic thinking skills with proven problem-solving ability
• Basic knowledge of DOT trucking regulations preferred

Base Compensation: $21/hour
