Transportation Associate I - Loudon, TN

HouseSmart’s Transportation Associate I works with CDL Drivers and the Transportation Supervisor to safely and effectively escort Clayton’s manufactured homes. This dynamic role allows team members to gain knowledge and experience on both sides of the Transportation and Installation of our homes. Responsibilities

• Consistently work to be as safe a driver as possible, helping ensure the safe and efficient delivery of customers' dream homes daily.
• Assist leadership in planning the best ways to move and set homes, including finding optimal routes and maneuvering around obstacles like telephone poles.
• Quickly and safely assist with various site preparation tasks, such as trimming trees, moving obstacles, identifying and communicating potential issues.
• Become an expert with jobsite equipment, including the house tug, jade, platypus, and more.
• Contribute to making a family’s dream of homeownership come true by delivering their home.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record with minimal to no driving infractions (e.g., speeding, following too closely, handheld device usage).
• Ability to climb ladders, crawl underneath homes, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness and interest in obtaining a Class F endorsement and a DOT medical card.
• Positive attitude and commitment to being a team player.
• Experience operating various machines; ability to quickly learn new equipment is a plus.
• Enjoy learning new things and working with your hands.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday.

Pay

$16.00/hour or more, paid weekly.
