Transportation Assistant Engineer

Responsibilities

• Complete roadway design plans under the direct supervision of a professional engineer.
• Work alone and in small groups.
• Use MicroStation and Inroads/OpenRoads software.
• Aid engineers and designers in the development and production of engineering plans and specifications on a variety of transportation projects.
• Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Show familiarity with Microsoft Products such as Excel and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Up to 3 years of previous roadway design or other transportation engineering experience.
• EIT Certification required.
• Knowledge of MicroStation and Inroads/OpenRoads software is a plus.

Requirements

• Willingness to travel on occasion.
• Ability to obtain a valid driver’s license prior to employment.

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Products such as Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of MicroStation and Inroads/OpenRoads software.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
