Ensure safe and compassionate transportation for residents while providing attentive care during transit to appointments and activities.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and scheduled activities.
- Monitor resident safety and comfort throughout transport.
- Observe and report any changes in residents' condition during transport.
- Assist residents with ambulation and transfer using assistive devices and proper technique.
- Record vital signs when needed during transport.
- Support the team by assisting with CNA duties in the facility when not transporting residents.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- At least 25 years old (for insurance requirements).
- Current Nursing Assistant Certification in Texas.
- Ability to pass DMV check and qualify for company insurance.
- Completion of the Employee Driver Proficiency program.
- Strong communication, patience, and attention to detail.
- Comfortable with both caregiving and safe vehicle operation.
