Key Responsibilities
- Operate the facility’s vehicle in a safe manner when transporting residents.
- Affords assistance to residents when on-boarding and off-boarding the vehicle.
- Ensures the residents' safe arrival at the pre-determined destination and back to the facility.
- Maintains route and mileage logs.
- Maintains routine vehicle safety conditions including fuel and vital fluid levels.
- Reports any vehicle problems or maintenance needs to the Executive Director immediately.
- Ensures that all vehicle passengers follow safety procedures, including fastening seat belts, prior to moving the van.
- Interacts positively with residents and visitors as a representative of the facility.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must have an excellent driving record.
- Must hold a CPR certification, which must be active, valid, and in good standing.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate is current and in good standing; a CNA certificate is preferred but not required.
