Transport Services Associate - Full Time - Day - SVH

About the Role

This job transports patients, medical records, mail, specimens, and equipment/materials throughout the facility, serving as a Hospital ambassador and ensuring transportation equipment is clean and functional.

Responsibilities

• Transports inpatients and outpatients within the facility from initial start location to the destination location (70%)
• Delivers equipment/materials and specimens to requesting departments, including use of the pneumatic tube system (20%)
• Provides information and direction to patients and visitors (5%)
• Ensures transportation equipment is kept clean and in good working order (5%)
• Performs other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High school diploma or GED
• One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills to maintain working relationships with internal and external departments and customers

Preferred:

• Proficiency in customer service
• CPR certification
