Transport Operations Manager

Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Drivers and Dispatchers.
- Oversee daily fuel transportation and delivery operations.
- Optimize routes, schedules, and equipment utilization.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training efforts.
- Resolve transportation and customer service issues.
- Visit driver locations and maintain strong relationships with transportation employees.
- Participate in the transport on-call rotation and provide backup dispatch support as needed.
- Partner with leadership to drive safe, efficient, and profitable operations.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, three to five years of transportation, logistics, dispatch, or related operations experience, strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, knowledge of transportation operations and DOT regulations, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation-related software systems.
Preferred qualifications include an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business, or a related field, previous supervisory experience, and experience in fuel, petroleum, or bulk transportation operations.
