Transport Driver/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Tarboro Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a transportation services driver to join our dedicated healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients by assisting them in and out of vans/vehicles; lifting patients on and off beds; moving them to and from special service and treatment areas, using wheelchairs or moveable beds.
• Communicate with outside entities with excellent customer service.
• Comfort patients and their families by offering support and encouragement; being punctual and attentive to procedure schedules; demonstrating caring and cultural sensitivity.
• Transport equipment and supplies by picking up requisitioned orders; delivering them to assigned treatment areas and patient care areas.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with federal and state legal regulations.
• Enhance the health care organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Manage confidential patient information.
• Ensure all residents have a safe transportation experience.
• Engage in training upon hire and ongoing to ensure up-to-date knowledge of current safety practices.

Requirements

• Current valid driver’s license with no serious infractions.
• CNA certification, and experience in customer service, transportation, and healthcare are preferred.
• Training will be offered on-site regardless of level of experience.
