About the role
This position is responsible for the safe and reliable transport of Primo Water products to company pre-assigned distribution points.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate transport vehicle
- Ensuring vehicle meets all Department of Transportation (DOT) laws and company standards
- Understanding of load and freight weight requirements
- Complete all required company and DOT required documents and reports
- Maintain cleanliness of company vehicle
- Ability to manage and track inventory
- Protect company assets by securing product loads before and during transport
- Complete comprehensive vehicle inspections
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Must be 21 years of age or older (DOT requirement)
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- 1–2 years commercial tanker driving experience, minimum 100,000 pound GVW preferred
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR): Only one license held, no DUI/DWI, refusal to test, leaving the scene of an accident, driving a commercial vehicle without a CDL, or at-fault fatal accidents, driving-related suspensions, revocations, or cancellations; disqualifying offenses; or reckless driving incidents
- Ability to read and interpret information such as driving routes, safety rules, sales tickets, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to sit, stand, push, pull, climb ladders, walk all day, and move/lift objects weighing up to 75 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, and in several types of weather
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Tanker Endorsement (required)
Pay
$30 hourly
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 7:00 pm – 5:00 am
Shift differential: 6%–8% of base hourly rate paid for applicable hours worked
Ability to work holidays and additional hours per business needs
