Transport Driver

About the role

Our mission at Kadima Health and Nursing at Cheswick is to offer quality care to our residents, and to provide for them a loving and compassionate environment, attending carefully to their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs. We are looking for a Driver to transport residents in a comfortable, safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
• Ensure residents arrive at their appointments in a timely manner
• Assist residents with getting onto the transport vehicle
• Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions
• Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
• Ensure the car seats are clean and comfortable for all riders
• Schedule regular car service appointments and report any issues as appropriate
• Book car wash and detailing services to maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the car as appropriate

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record with no traffic violations and meet the minimum age requirement of 25 for driving company vehicles in PA. Note that you don’t need to have a car; we provide drivers with our own vehicles.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Driver
• A valid driver’s license
• A clean driving record
• Familiarity with GPS devices
• Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
• Ability to lift and carry 50 LBS
• Availability to take weekend and night shifts
• A polite and professional disposition
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
• A high school diploma

Pay

Pay rate is $15.00 to $16.00 per hour depending on experience. This is a union position.

Schedule

Monday through Friday.
