About the Role

This position supports the development and implementation of programs or projects aimed at improving operations and/or patient care. It plays a key role in the day-to-day activities of projects, ensuring they remain on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors the process and outcomes of projects to ensure they stay on schedule.
  • Provides administrative and logistical support for projects.
  • Documents issues and decisions related to project progress.
  • Assists in preparing proposals, reports, and documents regarding the project.
  • Participates in staffing needs and resource allocation for the project.
  • Reviews monthly budget statements to ensure adequate funding for program/project continuation.
  • May perform basic project management functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a clinical field, business, or equivalent.
  • One year of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in management or coordination, training, quality assurance, team building, program development, and evaluation.
  • Experience with insurance payers, prior authorization, hospital financials, or patient billing (strongly preferred).
  • Experience in organ transplant (preferred).
  • Patient interaction experience, clinical or non-clinical.
  • Epic/EMR experience (preferred).

Schedule

  • This position requires shared on-call duties with other Transplant Financial Coordinators to cover 24/7 availability. On-call shifts can be handled over the phone, but the applicant must be available during their assigned shift.
  • Hybrid/work-from-home opportunities may be earned after full training is complete. This position is not fully remote.

Working Conditions

  • This is a sedentary office-based position that may involve exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Involves sitting for most of the workday and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

Physical Requirements

  • Carrying, lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 10 pounds.
  • Sitting for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity, near and far vision, color determination, listening, speaking, reaching, and occasional standing, walking, stooping, or crouching.
