Transplant Coordinator, RN - Transplant (Full Time)
About the role
Join a National Leader in Transplant Care! At the BIDMC Transplant Institute, innovation meets compassion. This is a full time position, 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Care coordination for transplant recipients and live donors throughout all phases of transplantation or donation.
- Provides educational information to recipients, donors, primary caregivers regarding all aspects of transplantation/donation.
- Participates in medical and surgical outpatient clinics with collaborating physicians and surgeons.
- Coordinates and facilitates discharge planning with in-patient team to maintain continuity of care.
- Accurately documents patient care in compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
- License Registered Nurse required.
- American Heart Association – Basic Life Support Certificate required.
- 3-5 years related work experience required.
- Basic familiarity with computers.
Qualifications
- Experience in teaching hospital and specialty area expertise preferred.
- Ambulatory or transplant experience preferred.

Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service and staff training to meet customer service standards and expectations for the assigned unit(s).
Resolves service issues in the assigned unit(s) in a timely and respectful manner.
